70 Minute Speedsculpt - White-Tailed Deer
I decided to try my hand at a speedsculpt - and I loved it! It was enjoyable and will become a part of my routine. I created an albino deer bust, and I kind of want to push it to game-ready completion. It would be a good opportunity to learn about making fur using planes.

Halted Work - Magnolia
Halted Work- This is a character model I started working on back in 2016, but brought to a stop just a few weeks in. She was an attempt at stylization and I liked the direction she was headed - maybe I'll pick this project back up in the future. The stylistic choice was a mixture between my own personal sketching style and the style from Dishonored (I enjoyed the game's sharp lines and bold style). Her working title was "Magnolia".

Crocodile WIP 1
WIP- A crocodile for my upcoming VR experience. So far I've put about 8 hours in, spread out over the last week (from research and starting from scratch to what you see above).
This is a great exercise to push my character modeling and Zbrush skills - they say that if you want to get better at modeling, you need to pick the hardest thing you can think of and model it. Here is my hardest thing: a crocodile. The anatomy is just unfamiliar enough, the scales have thousands of variations, sometimes the bumps and shapes are difficult to define and recreate. It's a blast.
Throughout this process I will learn and use many techniques that I consider "more advanced", and I cannot wait. This model will be game-ready, textured in Substance Painter and rendered in both Marmoset Toolbag and Unreal. The VR experience is being created in Unreal and will probably be released free of charge.

Male Anatomy Piece - WIP 6
WIP 6- I've been working on polishing anatomy here and there on my character. I am pretty happy with the front of the torso, front of thighs and head. I am having difficulty getting the back of the legs and the arms correctly modeled. Any critiques are welcome :)

Christopher - WIP
Just a little update on my model. I figured some un-textured renders could be a good way to show the little details. It still isn't finished, I'm very unhappy with some parts of him. Slowly but surely I'm polishing him up to my liking. I can't wait to retop and get some specularity in there. I hope you like it!
Also, he seems to be getting more evil every time I post an update XD

Joe's Portfolio Class - Final Project
This is my final project, a portrait of my friend. I hand-painted the textures with polypaint in Zbrush.
It was a challenging process, but I'm not entirely unhappy with the result. I plan on working on this more over the break.
